The UK Home Office defines domestic violence and abuse as ‘Any incident or pattern of incidents of controlling, coercive or threatening behaviour, violence or abuse between those aged 16 or over who are or have been intimate partners or family members regardless of gender or sexuality’.

The UK lockdown had serious effects on mental health cases and domestic violence instances. Drive Creative Studio worked with our friends at Designamite, Devon and Cornwall Police, and Dorset Police to produce a series of emotive animations about spotting the signs of domestic abuse (which can be behavioural and psychological as well as physical), and that directed victims to resources for support and information.
