Earlier this year we worked with Watford Borough Council to develop their Council, Workforce and Delivery plans, as well as other public-facing documents that set out their aims for the next four years. With a brief for the work to be modern and contemporary – a strong focus on dynamic design rather than traditional images of the town – we restricted ourselves to the core visual features of the brand, evolving and deconstructing the identity at the same time.

The three documents use elements from the borough coat of arms, scaled and tinted to different degrees to create bold, graphic layouts, while variations in colour allow for subtle differences between covers.
